Ladies and Gentlemen and Miscellaneous, this is to inform y'all that I will shortly be deleting every single textile piece from this gallery. if you're really interested in crocheting, there are some great tutorials (videos as well as illustrated descriptions) and patterns out there on the net. it's not that hard to learn.
I was 27 when I started crocheting again after about 15 years of inactivity. had to ask my mother to show me the stitches again.
I started out with existing patterns of small and easy to do animals to get the hang of it. it helped a lot.

To be honest I've never been that interested in yarn crafts - I've tried knitting a few times and found it tedious. I find cloth far more rewarding. But occasionally I see a plushie, like your scorpion, that makes me think, 'if I could crochet, I'd make one of those.'
ah... well, it's nice to inspire a few dreams here and there, then.
