Wow. That was friggin' intense. Two days and we now have seventy (count 'em!) combatants in the Fall-Out Fights. I *totally* wasn't expecting that.

And, of course, you were wanting the official rules for this thing. Right.
First of all, I'm not blacklillian. I am not endling. I do not have the time or the energy to note everybody regarding the progress of this thing. It is up to YOU to keep an eye on this journal, which is where I will keep you posted.

The fights officially begin in two weeks. This is because I have had a number of people ask me if they can re-do their audition. TWO WEEKS. You have until midnight GMT on Tuesday 18th September. I'm no sadist and all auditions get through, but if you can include the words 'lemming', 'mad science', 'rofflewaffle' or 'eater of pencils' it will amuse me and prove you a better scripter, won't it?
If you have no full-length, full-colour version of your character on your page, don't come whining to me when your opponent gets it so far wrong your character decides to sue.

All types of media are allowed. Writing is allowed, so is photography. However, IF you're going to write your entry, warn me in advance and I'll pair you up with another writer (of course, if you don't give a monkey's about this, warn me anyway - your opponent might need notice).

Since there have been a lot of people saying they have a lot to do and might take a while to do their piece, there's going to be two categories for this - regular fighters get two weeks to finish a fight, slowpokes will get three. Tell me which category you want to be in, and hopefully nobody will end up getting too impatient.

In this first round, I will choose who is fighting who. I know I said you could challenge each other, but it occurs to me that a lot of artists would go unchallenged if that happened. However, if anyone has anyone they particularly want to fight, note me and I'll see what I can do.
I will also be choosing WHERE you're fighting. The plot states, basically, that everyone is trying to get back home, and are being transported by the notoriously unreliable Phyrbyrd Random Reality Generator. I am sick to the back teeth of tropical islands. These things always happen on tropical islands. So you'll get an opponent and a location. If the location happens to be the environment your character comes from, fine, he's home - you can choose whether to let him go on fighting. If you win, you get a Fall-Out Point to go towards the cost of getting a more reliable transport home (the points and banner, both coming soon, are being designed by - this is the guy I discussed this whole thing with before starting it, so he's my second-in-command). If you lose, you don't - and either way, you get sent on to another fight till everyone gets bored and decides to call this a day.

is in charge of voting, taking a great big weight off my mind - when the combat is over, everyone voting (and everyone must vote, or feel my wrath. And hey, show some solidarity, yeah?) should send a note to socke-scheusal saying who they voted for in which combat. It would probably help a lot if fighters linked to his journal from their entries.

Oh, and yes, people who weren't entered in Survivor: DeviantART are also welcome. The Phyrbyrd Random Reality Generator has been known to pick up stragglers and as we say, the more the merrier. The whole premise of this thing is that EVERYONE can play. Unless you keep not doing your half of the combat, or flaming people, or stuff like that. Then you get banned cuz, y'know, we're not stupid.

What else? Oh, yeah, the plot...

The myriad figures - fighters, innocents, renegades and more - gathered on the beach of Survivor Island, some looking confused, some angry, some worried - none looked particularly happy.
Suddenly a woman's voice spoke out of nowhere, like the tannoy at an airport. 'Ladies, gentlemen and otherwise, this is your Hostess General speaking. May I have your attention please.
It may have come to your notice that you have reached Survivor Island, by whatever means, nobody has met you and there also appears to be no way of returning to your respective homes. This latter concern will be dealt with by the Phyrbyrd Random Reality Generator (tm) - we apologise that your journeys home may be somewhat lengthly and roundabout. If this concerns you overly, you may take the option of paying for a more reliable passage with Fall-Out Points, which can be earned in the... usual way. Have a nice day.'
The voice vanished. Then, in a series of flashes of coloured light, so did the people on the beach...

EDIT: Stop asking me why we're not playing towards a final winner. I'm doing this because I entered Survivor to meet people, improve my art and get my characters drawn by other artists, not to get some trophy or title. What is it with you lot makes you so KillEmAll? You want a trophy, enter Shiva627's tournament. This isn't that sort of game.
